Toei Kyoto Studio Park in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto, opened in 1975 by opening up the outdoor sets of Toei's Kyoto Studio to visitors, making it Japan's only theme park where visitors can watch period-drama filming; it is operated by Toei Uzumasa Eigamura Co., Ltd. To mark its 50th anniversary, the park was renamed "Toei Kyoto Studio Park (English: UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE)," and phase one of a full renewal themed "Lost in Edo-period Kyoto" opened on March 28, 2026, with phase two planned for spring 2027 and phase three, including the Nakamura-za theater, planned for spring 2028. A one-day ticket costs 2,800 yen for adults (junior high age and up) and 1,600 yen for children (ages 3 through elementary school); hours are 10:00-21:00, with entry accepted up to 60 minutes before closing.
