Camper van rental FAQ

What licence do I need to rent a camper van?+

Japan residents can drive on a Japanese licence. Overseas visitors need their home-country licence plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and their passport. Some countries or regions (e.g. Taiwan) require an official Japanese translation instead — contact us if unsure.

Can I pick up at Kansai Airport?+

Yes. We can hand over the vehicle at Kansai International Airport (KIX), your Osaka hotel, or a location you specify. Just note your preferred pickup point and time when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Where can I park overnight?+

Japan has a wide network of roadside stations (michi-no-eki) and RV parks, and some seaside parks allow overnight stays. Please avoid staying where camping is prohibited; our staff suggest good spots at handover.

How much does it cost, and what's included?+

Daily rates vary by vehicle and season and are shown on each car page. Rates include an ETC unit, child seats and a basic cooking set; insurance and cleaning are extra, and the deposit is refunded on return.

Do I need to bring my own camping gear?+

No. The van already has a bed, kitchen and power. If you want tents, tables, sleeping bags or a cooler, you can add 20+ outdoor items when booking, ready to use on arrival.

Can a first-timer drive a camper van?+

Yes. Our light camper vans drive much like a regular van and are easy to handle. Before you set off, our staff explain the controls and key points so you can drive with confidence.
