Yagiyama Benny Land is an amusement park in Sendai's Taihaku Ward that opened on April 14, 1968, covering about 7.9 hectares with roughly 30 ride types, operated by Eightley Co., Ltd. Its signature rides are the Yagiyama Cyclone (installed 1988, 600 meters long, top speed 70 km/h) and the Corkscrew (installed 1980, 430 meters with two inversions); the Aero 5, added in 2015, runs at just 14.8 km/h and is billed as "Japan's slowest roller coaster." A wooden coaster that ran for 54 years from 1968 was retired in 2022. The park is open from early March through Coming of Age Day (mid-January) the following year, closing from mid-January to early March.
