Universal Studios Japan opened on March 31, 2001 in Sakurajima, Konohana Ward, Osaka, covering about 54 hectares, as NBCUniversal's first theme park outside the United States. Alongside areas such as Hollywood, New York, Jurassic Park, and Waterworld, it has successively added the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (2014), Minion Park (2017), and Super Nintendo World (2021). Its 2023 attendance was about 16 million, making it the most-visited theme park in Japan. A one-day Studio Pass starts at 8,200 yen for adults and 5,400 yen for children (ages 4-11), with prices fluctuating by visit date.
