Tobu Zoo opened on March 28, 1981 as a project marking Tobu Railway's 80th anniversary. Covering 54 hectares across Miyashiro Town and Shiraoka City, it is operated by Tobu Leisure Kikaku and describes itself as a "hybrid leisure land," exhibiting about 120 species and 1,200 animals alongside an amusement park of about 30 attraction types, including the wooden water coaster "Regina II" and the water coaster "Kawasemi." It also operates the Tobu Super Pool in summer. Admission is 2,300 yen for adults (18+) and 1,000 yen for children (3-11), with an unlimited-ride pass at 5,900 yen for adults; a discounted "GoGo Discount" ticket for adults entering after 14:00 costs 1,400 yen.
