Shuzenji Niji no Sato is a theme park in Shuzenji, Izu City, which opened in April 1990 on a site of about 500,000 square meters, arranged into zones such as an English Village, Canada Village, Village of Craftsmen, Izu Village, and a Japanese garden. Its 15-inch (381mm) gauge Romney Railway connects two stations about a kilometer apart using steam and diesel locomotives, taking about 10 minutes one way. The park also has a 100-meter roller slide (minimum age 5), a 250-meter wisteria trellis, and a rose garden with about 2,300 royal rose plants. Admission is 1,220 yen for adults and 610 yen for children (ages 4 through elementary school); hours are 10:00-17:00 from April to September and in March, and 10:00-16:00 from October to February.
