Shirahama Energy Land was established by Matsushita Kosan on August 1, 1981, and has been operated by Shirahama Energy Land Co., Ltd. since December 2010, billed as "an experience-based theme park on the theme of the energy of people and nature." Located in front of Shirarahama Beach, it centers on indoor exhibits using illusion and physical sensation, such as "Sun Town," the "Mystery Zone," and the Trick Art House, and it has no large mechanical rides. Admission is 2,000 yen for adults (high school age and up), 1,400 yen for elementary/junior high schoolers, 600 yen for infants (age 3+), and 1,800 yen for seniors (age 60+), with half price for holders of a physical disability certificate. Parking is available for 280 vehicles.
