Taiken Okoku Murasaki Mura is an experience-based theme park in Takashiho, Yomitan Village, built on the reused outdoor set of NHK's 1993 historical drama "Ryukyu no Kaze," covering about 15,000 tsubo. Red-tiled roofs and Ryukyu limestone paving recreate a Ryukyu Kingdom-era townscape, with each building converted into a hands-on craft workshop. Its 32 workshops offer 101 kinds of experiences, including Ryukyu glassblowing, pottery, bingata dyeing, indigo dyeing, shisa painting, and "kankara sanshin" making. Admission is 1,000 yen for adults (college age and up), 500 yen for junior/senior high schoolers, and 400 yen for elementary schoolers, free for preschoolers. It is open year-round, 9:00-17:30 (entry closes at 17:00).
