Kodomo no Kuni is a children's welfare facility that opened on May 5, 1965, built as a commemorative project for the then-Crown Prince's wedding and the birth of Prince Hiro, operated by the social welfare corporation Kodomo no Kuni Association. Located at 700 Narachō, Aoba Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, with part of the grounds extending into Machida City, Tokyo, admission from an April 1, 2026 revision is 800 yen for adults, 600 yen for high schoolers, 300 yen for elementary/junior high schoolers, and 200 yen for infants (age 3+). The park's solar-powered mini train, "Taiyo-go," and its locomotive-styled shuttle bus, "Akapoppo-go," both cost a flat 300 yen for age 3 and up, and the park also has a ranch, a pool, an ice rink, and bicycle rental. Parking is 1,000 yen for standard/small/kei cars (up to 2.4m wide, 5.0m long) and 2,000 yen for mid-size/large vehicles, buses, and wider vehicles.
