Kijima Kogen Park is an amusement park on Kijima Plateau in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, which opened in March 1967 as "Kijima Motopia Land" and is now operated by Kijima Kogen Operations Co., Ltd. Its wooden coaster "Jupiter," introduced in July 1992 and billed as Japan's first, runs 1,600 meters with a top height of 42 meters. Admission is 1,500 yen for adults (ages 13-59), 600 yen for children (4-12) and seniors (60-69), and free for age 70 and up and age 3 and under, with a ride pass at 4,600 yen. Parking is 500 yen for standard cars (2,000 spaces), 100 yen for motorcycles (100 spaces), and 1,000 yen for buses, micro buses, and campervans (30 spaces).
