Katsuyama Dino Park is a dinosaur-themed park inside Nagaoyama Park's "Katsuyama Dinosaur Forest" in Katsuyama City, a three-minute walk from the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum, operated by WAC Co., Ltd. and Dinosaur Forest Co., Ltd. Its central "Forest Where Dinosaurs Live" is a roughly 600-meter, 20-minute walking trail set with more than 60 life-size dinosaur models, including a 20-meter Mamenchisaurus and a 13-meter Tyrannosaurus; the park also has a two-level mirror dinosaur maze, a ride-through giant insect adventure tour, and "Gaogao Plaza," with boats, a train, and golf. A "Dinosaur Forest + Dinosaur Maze" combined ticket costs 1,000 yen on weekdays (1,200 yen on weekends/holidays) for junior high age and up, and 800 yen (1,000 yen) for ages 3 through elementary school. It closes on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month (open daily during summer break) and closes for winter from late November to late March.
