Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture, which opened on March 25, 1992, recreating a medieval Dutch townscape; at about 1.52 million square meters, it is Japan's largest standalone theme park. Since September 2022, it has been wholly owned by the Hong Kong investment firm PAG. At the first parking lot for day visitors, the fee is 1,500 yen per visit for standard cars (up to 5m long, including small campervans) and 3,000 yen for large vehicles (5m and longer, including large/mid-size/micro buses and campervans); vehicles 2.3 meters or taller must use the bus lot regardless of length. Fees are charged as a flat rate rather than by the hour, with an additional day's fee applied past midnight.
