Hokkaido Greenland opened in 1986 as Mitsui Greenland to coincide with the Hokkaido 21st Century Exposition, and was renamed to its current name in 2007; it is operated by Sorachi Resort City Co., Ltd. Its 85-meter Ferris wheel is the tallest in Hokkaido, and the park houses 46 large ride types, including the roller coaster GO-ON and the triple-inversion coaster Ryuoh. The grounds cover about 330,000 square meters. The amusement park operates from spring to autumn, while the same site becomes the "White Park" ski resort in winter.
