Hirakata Park, in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture, is a roughly 159,048-square-meter amusement park operated by Keihan Leisure Service, part of the Keihan Electric Railway group. Citing its 1912 opening (its predecessor, Kori Amusement Park, opened in 1910), the park bills itself as Japan's oldest still-operating amusement park that has never suspended business; it features the wooden coaster "Elf," "Red Falcon," and the Ferris wheel "Sky Walker," installed in 1991. Parking costs 2,000 yen per day for cars and 4,000 yen for buses and other large vehicles (motorcycles free); buses, trucks, and campervans require advance reservation by the day before, and the parking lot closes 30 minutes after the park.
