Located on the east side of the Dazaifu Tenmangu shrine grounds, this amusement park opened on October 13, 1957 (Showa 32) as "Dazaifuen." Its operating company, Dazaifuen, was established with investment from Nishi-Nippon Railroad and Dazaifu Tenmangu, and it uses about 30,000 square meters of land lent free of charge by the shrine, offering about 20 kinds of child-oriented rides including go-karts, teacups, a carousel, and a water coaster. Admission is 700 yen for adults (junior high age and up), 600 yen for seniors (65+), and 500 yen for children (ages 3 through elementary school), with rides at 300-600 yen each. The park has no dedicated parking lot, and visitors use the Dazaifu Parking Center or nearby private lots.
