Minami-Chita Toy Kingdom is the amusement-park zone attached to the aquarium "Minami-Chita Beachland," launched in March 2006 through a partnership with the Toy Kingdom chain that renewed the existing amusement park; the aquarium itself opened on April 29, 1980 and is now operated by Meitetsu Impress of the Meitetsu Group. The park has nine indoor pavilions, including Tomica-Plarail Land, the Licca-chan Doll House, the Wooden Toy Museum, and the Sylvanian Families House, all air-conditioned and usable on rainy days. Admission covers both the aquarium and amusement park at 2,200 yen for adults and 1,100 yen for children (age 2+), with a separate 2,200 yen unlimited-ride ticket available for the rides.
