This park's predecessor was the venue for the 1985 "Kuniumi no Saiten" festival, and it opened as Awaji World Park Onokoro in 1998; the land and buildings are owned by the Hyogo Prefecture Enterprise Bureau. Its "Miniature World" recreates 18 famous buildings from around the world at 1/25 scale. Admission is 1,600 yen for junior high age and up and 800 yen for ages 3 through elementary school. Citing facility aging and difficulty securing renovation funds, the operator has announced the park will close on November 30, 2026, and the large Ferris wheel Onokoro has already been suspended since July 14, 2026.
