Asakusa Hanayashiki, which opened in 1853, is Japan's oldest amusement park still in operation, now run by Hanayashiki Co., Ltd. under Bandai Namco Amusement; it has had no fixed closed days since March 2008. Its roller coaster, installed in 1953, was Japan's first domestically made coaster and remains in operation on a site of about 1,860 tsubo. Admission is 1,600 yen for adults (junior high age through 64), 800 yen for children (ages 5 through elementary school) and seniors (65+), and free for ages 0-4, with an unlimited-ride one-day pass at 4,600 yen for adults. The official website states the park has no parking lot or bicycle parking of its own and directs visitors to nearby facilities.
