Nanki-Shirahama & Kumano — 3 Days on the Kii Coast
3 days, 2 nights ・ ≈402 km ・ 6h 40m driving (estimated)
Straight down the coastline of the Kii Peninsula: soak in the onsen at Shirahama (白浜), then park for the night beside Toretore Ichiba (とれとれ市場). Day two runs through Susami (すさみ) and the sweeping views at Hashigui-iwa (橋杭岩) all the way to Nachikatsuura (那智勝浦). On the last day you climb to Kumano Hongu Taisha (熊野本宮大社) and walk a stretch of the World Heritage approach before turning for home. A slow onsen-and-coast trip only a campervan can pull off.
