Sea of Kyoto & Kinosaki Onsen — 3 Days

From Miyazu (宮津) and Amanohashidate (天橋立) the road follows the water into Ine (伊根) to see the funaya (舟屋) boathouses, and the first night is spent on the Sea of Japan shore in Tango (丹後). Day two moves on to Kinosaki Onsen (城崎温泉): a yukata, the seven sotoyu (外湯) bathhouses, the campervan parked right at the mouth of the onsen street. The last day is sarasoba (皿蕎麦) in the castle town of Izushi (出石城下町), then the Tajima (但馬) mountain roads home.
