Insurance Compensation of your rented car

Types	Compensation Amount Limit
Bodily injury	Unlimited per person (including automobile liability insurance)
Property damage	Unlimited per accident (A ¥50,000 fee will be incurred for liability exclusion)
Vehicle damage	Up to ¥5,000,000* per accident (A ¥50,000 fee will be incurred for liability exclusion)
Personal injury	Unlimited per passenger (only during the ride)

* Any damages for which insurance payments are not made and damages exceeding the compensation limit will be fully borne by the borrower or driver.

Cases Not Covered by Insurance Compensation

When the rental period is extended without permission.
When there is no proof of an accident issued by police.
Accidents caused by unlicensed driving, driving under the influence of alcohol, or driving while under the influence of drugs.
Any other violations to our rental agreement.

First, rescue the injured and move the vehicle to a safe location to avoid danger. Set up warning lights.
If there are injured persons, contact 119, and report the accident to the police by calling 110 to file an accident report.
Do not handle accident claims by yourself. If you settle the case privately, you may not receive insurance coverage and could be responsible for the full costs.

Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) provides road service through its nationwide network of bases 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

* It will connect to the nearest JAF call centre, but it may not work with some IP telephones and International calls.

Non-Operation Charge (NOC) is a compensation system for suspension of business. It is the amount the customer pays to the car rental company as compensation for business for the period when an accident/ theft/ breakdown/ contamination, etc. occurs while using the rental car and the car requires repair or cleaning.
In any of the above cases, the car rental contract will be automatically terminated. Any payments made towards car rental or any other costs will be non-refundable, and no replacement car will be provided.
